Storyline – Navy SEAL Sniper Chris Kyle is the deadliest sniper in American History, who protects the lives of his troops on the battlefield. But when he comes home he can’t leave behind the awful things that happened when he was on duty.
My review – when I saw American Sniper I was amazed on what a job Bradley Cooper did as portraying this man. When I heard that he was going to be playing a deadeye sharpshooter I couldn’t come to my self and say it was going to be good. Bradley Cooper just doesn’t seem like the guy to lay this role. But holy shit he proved me wrong. He had to pack on at least 40 pounds of muscle for this movie. Because if you see him in the hangover movies he’s a twig, but this movie he’s fucking huge. But for the movie, I really enjoyed this movie, I enjoyed how they portrayed the war, the hidden messages about the war, and the life of the soldiers when they come home to their family. The movie did a great job of not just focusing on the war aspect of it but also the hardships of PTSD of the soldiers when they get home. There was one scene in this movie that really got my saying, “wow these guys are truly amazing.” And for a movie to do that is seems really hard but not for this movie. When they showed that he died at the end everyone was in shock, and I was surprised because I thought everyone knew that he died. Fun fact, the father of Chris in real life, told Clint Eastwood that if he portrayed his son in a bad way that he would kill him. That so much pressure for this movie, one mistake you have that whole family down your throat. Overall this movie moves you, makes you want to become a Navy SEAL and entertains you from start to finish, I would say SEE IT 5/5
